The superbowl left me with a sinking feeling too and the Red Sox are pissing me off before the season even starts. I might warm up to them, but it's gonna take something special. I was a Mets fan growing up, so I know a little bit about Bobby V. I don't think he will be a good fit for Boston fans. The Sox are selling him pretty hard, so we'll see.

Dude, I vurped a little when I saw that picture of Chara. Put that thing away. I think the vomit was from looking at a half naked dude and the burp was from the beer I just gulped and the guilt I feel from being so out of shape.

Anyway, I agree that Chiarelli has been the Italian Stalion of trades lately, but the Kaberle deal was a miss. The Worst GM in the NHL award goes to Pierre Gauthier... or possibly Scott Howson. Hmm... that's a tight race. Tough call.

On another note, isn't it plain to see how important coaching is in hockey? Look at who is coaching the top teams in the league right now - Tortarella in NYC, Ken Hitchcock in St. Louis, Mike Babcock in Detroit, Dan Bylsma in PItt, Claud Julien in Boston - and think about how well their teams execute their styles of play. Many of them teach an agressive puck-pursuit style of hockey, but more importantly day in and day out they establish a good feel for the state of their team. In hockey (maybe more than any other sport), it is clear that a quality coach is an important piece of any team that hopes to win a championship.BNhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8LTltBQ3pcnoreply@blogger.com
