97th PGA Championship
August 13-16
Whistling Straits, Wisconsin
The year's final major of the year is upon us. The last time this course hosted the PGA in 2010, Martin Kaymer won his first major in a tournemant that will be infamous for Dustin Johnson's "bunker" penalty on the 18th hole which ultimatley lost him the tournament.
Last year, Rory McIlroy won the PGA at Val Halla, in that tournament that finished basically in the dark. Rory is finally back from his soccer injury in July, it will be exciting to see him defending his title. I expect a great performance from Rory this week.
Jordan Spieth enters this week with a chance to be the new world #1 golfer with a win. He seta goal at the beginning of the season- to make the cut at all four majors and contend in at least one of them- and so he has a little work to do to accomplish that goal. It shouldn't be an issue- Spieth is the odds on favorite to win and for good reason. He is solid everywhere. I'm rooting for him.
Now to the fantasy draft.
+5 for players who miss the cut
-10 for team with winning player
low player score breaks all ties.
