VIBES wins MB11 by 1 point!

Last year these two teams split the 55 points evenly, 27.5 a piece. This year, team Vibes came through with the extra half point necessary to win to trip in what was another incredibly close golf competition that came down to the wire including a tied session on Sunday.

Unlike last year, the 2024  Vibes team came out hot with a 3 point lead, going 6-3-2 in the Friday bestball round on Moorland. This was a 7 point swing from last years 3-7-1 Friday session for Vibes at Mid Pines.

The Alt Shot round Saturday AM on Heathland was split by the two teams, with each team going 5-5-1, a tied session.

At this point in the competition it was Vibes 12.5 to Bomb Squad's 9.5... But Bomb Squad had the better Saturday afternoon in the scramble round on Parkland, gaining 2 points in the session to bring the overall score to 17-16 with Vibes holding the critical 1 point lead going into Sunday.

A split Sunday session (each team went 10-10-1) was enough to keep Vibes ahead and win MB11 by one single point, 28-27. This Vibes team was a half point better than last year, and the Bomb Squad was a half point worse. Over 2 years and 110 matches, these 2 teams were separated by a single point! Crazy stuff.

When the competition is this close, you could pick any Vibes point-scorer from Sunday as the key to winning it all. It may be a personal bias, as I was a direct victim, but the "partners" Dan and Dennis winning both matches in their foursome- late in the round- seemed to probably be the nail in the coffin.

Jeremy was the last hope for the Bomb Squad on Sunday... he had won all 3 (!) of his matches this weekend on the 18th green, but fell just short by getting dormied on the 17th green by the last Vibes player on the course, Steve.

Cam Cox was the only guy to go 4-0-0 on the trip- Congrats to Cam for the full 4 points and team victory. I think that makes him the easy choice for MVP!

Other Vibes leaders include theses guys who all went 3-1:

Captain Bill Nichols
Beckerman
Dan Bahr
Fliesser

It must also be mentioned Dennis and Kurt went undefeated for Vibes at 2-0-2. Great weekend fellas.

Bomb Squad was led by Jeremy and Danny Richards, both went 3-0-1.  Captain Dante, Jimmy Waitz, Ed, and Duce also showed up big going 3-1 on the weekend.

Sean Cosgrove, Captain Ryan, and Mike Coates the 3 guys who sadly went 0-4-0.

Below are matchup recaps, I tried to piece together or just straight up use all the content I got from each person who sent it along... I cannot vouch for these details for the matches being 100% accurate.

Bestball- Friday at Moorland

Captain's match- Paul/Nichols 3&2 over Dante/Ryan
What else can I say besides we held off Dante going 4-0 this trip?! Some could say it was the rental set, most would say I suck at golf but Bill and I got it done. Bill was solid, I showed up when we needed it. Both of us also hit the same house with a golf ball, I hit the back and he hit the front if that’s not team chemistry I don’t know what is. Dante played great and was roping drives down the fairway. 216 yard par 3 I was 120’ away from the green took out the old Texas wedge and tucked that bitch 2’ for an easy tap in for Nichols. Your boy knows how to play the very minimal shots I have in my bag. Ryan unfortunately left his bathing suit at home but he did hit the water if my memory recalls. These guys never led the entire day which is mind blowing but hey everyone has a bad round shooting a 74 and losing. (Paul)

Ryan and I never led the entire day. Closest we got was 1 down. Paul was a par 3 machine. First par 3 Paul made a bogey/net par from back of the green, second par 3 Paul rolled a putt 40 yards from front of the green to 2 feet for par/net birdie, third par 3 Paul stuck it to 10ft above the hole to par/net birdie. Most impressive hole he had was #12 where Paul hit a 3W 200 yards + uphill and made a 5/3. Ryan made a 12 foot putt for 4/3 to halve the hole. The few Holes that Paul was in pocket Bill N made par or bogey/net par to halve the hole. Shot a 74 and we lost thanks Paul's heroics and his 13 club rental set...6 more club options than his 7 club bag back home. (Dante)

Ken/Crooky 4&3 over Peter/Trevor
We got a nice preview of how the match would go when Peter topped his first drive into the shit immediately in front of the tee box. Pete had an uncharacteristically bad round where he couldn’t get anything going and Trevor did everything he could to keep them in it. Trevor dropped a long par putt on 1 to halve us when it seemed like we had the hole no problem. We won the next few holes, as I was even through 5. on the long par 5 6th Trevor got on the green in 2 to look like they might take their first hole. I was way right of the green and stuck it to gimme range from about 60 yards for birdie to get to 1 under and thought I had saved the hole until Trevor stepped up and buried his 20 foot eagle putt. I birdied 10 to bring us to up 4 and it was looking like it was over until Trevor rolled in a putt on 11 for his second eagle of the day to give them a glimmer of hope, but it wasn’t enough. Crooky hit the center of the green and 2 putted for a net birdie on the short par 3 13th (while Peter 3 putted from about 10 feet) to put them dormie and we closed them out after I hit a 7-wood (from the blues, you pussies) on to the green on hell’s half acre and we closed them out. (Ken)

Jeremy/Jamie won 1up against Coates/Nick
We led for basically the whole match and coughed up the lead late but Coates missed a 4 footer to lose the match for them. I had Nick questioning my handicap when I fired a 42 to start. I drove the green on hells half acre, nbd. But I suck and 3 putted for par  (Jeremy)

Beck/Fliesser won 6&4 over Johnny/Evan
Beck and Fleisser ham and egged perfectly all day. Beck was pretty solid the whole round, and Fleisser warmed up around hole 4/5. Evan and I couldn’t get it going and the match was never really in doubt after 5/6 holes. (Johnny)

Jared/Campbell win 1up over Bill/Sean
I’d like to forget about the golf part of Fridays round, I was absolutely atrocious and bill was in God mode. Down 4 most of the match, then bill turned into Christ himself and we were down 1 on 18. Told him I’d help him on 18 (didn’t) and ended up losing 18 to finish. Very fun round (Sean)

Jared started the day with a birdie and their team got off to a hot start 3up after 4-5 holes. We got it back to 2-3dn at 9 with a chance to bring it to lower but I 4 putted 9 to lose the hole while stroking. Match hung in the 3-4dn range until around hole 14 we got on a run to start a comeback. Capped with an Eagle on Hell’s Half Acre on a 40-50ft putt to bring it to 1dn. Stayed that way with a stroke on 18 but Jared got up and down for par and I missed my long par putt to win the hole. Sean had a tough day on a tough course. (Bill P)

Jim Duce/Ed 1up over Dan & Justin Cosgrove
Ed and I won 1up over the Cosgroves. I played terrible for the most part. Ed kept us in the match. Justin played well, drives the ball better than Dan. Clutched out a bogey net par on 15 to stay 1 down. Ed drove devils half acre and we won there to go all square with 2 to go. I was buried under the lip of the waste bunker on 17 and managed to get it up on the green to save a push. Ed and I both went into the water off the tee on 18 but recovered to win the hole and the match. (Duce)

"Dan battled 2 sandbaggers who stroked on the 130 yard 17th hole which they won to go 1up and eventually win the match after a tie on 18" (Dan)

Weibs/Cole 4&2 over James/Jimmy Waitz
Jimmy and I had won in this format on this course in the past, but we both played like trash this this matchup. 2nd hole we both put our drives in the water twice. Jimmy wasn't able to stay in play off the tee most of the round, and I was grinding out bogeys all day, not doing anything particularly well. I think we won maybe just 1 single hole, it was pretty close to a wire to wire victory for the vibes guys. Weibs was consistent enough to kill us, and when he did hiccup Cole was right there to back him up, they played great together and finished us off with a birdie on Hell's half acre for the 4&2 win. My first bestball loss.  (James)

Abe/Alec AS Dennis/Hill
Alec and I picked each other up back and forth as brothers should and we were up 3 holes at one point on the front. We all actually played pretty well on the back 9 but rightfully don’t remember much of the round as this was a battle of the livers as much as it was a battle of the drivers. Alec and I were on our way to burying Dennis/Hill per usual but they made a strong comeback and we ended up tied after 18. We decided as a group to replay the 18th as a playoff hole and Dennis took the OT win for them. Luckily, the captains came in and said that the OT hole was nonsense and once again, Alec has no business making decisions around scoring, so the round came out as a push. (Abe)

Alt Shot- Saturday AM on Heathland

Ken/Campbell lose 2&1 to Dante/Peter
Peter again didn’t have a great day, but was significantly better than his best ball showing - a few made longer putts were enough to hold off me and Campbell. We had plenty of opportunities where they were in trouble off the tee (thanks, Pete) and we just couldn’t capitalize because we each missed a few very straight forward shots to let the other guy down. Despite our mediocre play we hung on until our 17th (par 3 8th on Heathland) where I got on the green but left Campbell with a must make long uphill birdie putt while Dante put them in easy 2-putt par range and they closed us out. (Ken)

Ken and Matt led most of the beginning of the round. Pete and I brought the match to AS by the 9th or 10th. The 4th hole which was our 13th of the match Matt and Ken were lying 2 next to green side bunker with pin tucked in front. They proceeded to take 3 shots to get to the green. It was at that point Matt lost ken. Pete and I never looked back winning the next few holes and building a 3U cushion. We closed them out on 17 which was a 125 pin playing 165 in to the wind. Pete and I drove off the course trying to be disrespectful AF while Matt and Ken played 18th alone (Dante)

Cole/Dennis AS Marc/Craig
Dennis broke his 6 iron and Marc missed a 1 ft putt to close us out on 18 in alt shot. That was cool. We pushed the round, but I think that 1 foot putt was the deciding factor the bomb squad (Cole)

Beck/Kurt 3&2 over Abe/Trevor
Trevor and I were up three and were even through the first four holes. But we ended up giving that right back to Kurt/Beck. They birdied 9 to go one up on us with a MONSTER drive into the wind by Kurt and Fresh Beck stuck one to 4 feet. Beck said something along the lines that he loved having the second shot distances that Kurt was leaving him cause Kurt was a beast off the tee. That felt like what took the wind out of our sails even though we fought hard to try to get back, in the end falling 3 and 2 (Abe)

Johnny/Jeremy win 1up over Paul/Bahr
Lost on 18 not sure on the right wording. Let’s start off with Dan Bahr is the definition of electric factory. My old alt shot partner Johnny and his best friend on FB Jeremy took the bois all the way downtown to 18 and took the dub. I kept asking Johnny if I was the problem in our past matches or if it was him and we’re still yet to have an answer. Jeremy was hands down piping the ball down the fairway. It was the best golf I’ve seen him play, which is hard for me to say. Johnny had a bunch of good shots and also none that went backwards this year. The bois were drinking beers, putting holes thru peoples fences (Bahr with a fucking missile), shotgunning and having a grand ole time out there all the way down to 18 where I just left Bahr out there with a long boi putt.  (Paul)

Marty/Hill wins 5&4 over Sean/Evan
Evan and I played decently, lost 5&4 I believe. He struggled off the tee, I played better than Fridays round. Marty is a stick, doesn’t mess up shots, consistent as all hell. Hill hit a 126’ birdie putt on 3rd hole. Deflated. Should’ve pushed that hole, instead lost. (Sean)

Cox/Fliesser win 3&2 over James/Ed
Who doesn't love a little controversy on the first hole on Saturday AM? Vibes guy hit their tee ball just into the woods on the left & wanted relief from a downed tree in their backswing. I thought they were joking! they weren't, did not get relief, and lost the hole. The whole front 9 was back and forth, I believe Ed and I won the 9th hole to square the match by the turn. Vibes team was very good on the back, and, this is hard to believe but I was a liability PUTTING the ball in this round, multiple bad putts and put Ed in too many bad spots. He played awesome. We ended up losing when, after a long search, I found their ball DEEP in the rough greenside, they made an elite up and down somehow and closed us out on the 16th green with a birdie.

Duce/Poch win 1up over Nick/Nichols
Tight match all day. A lot of good shots from both teams. Bill/Duce birdied #2 (which was our back 9) to get to 2/3up but Nick/Bill turned it around immediately on the next hole where Nick hit a 4i into wind up hill 190-200 yard on the par 3 #3 to start their rally back. Came down to 18 where Duce hit a good drive and I hit a nice approach 8i into the green. Duce hit a 30-40ft putt to 2inches and the hole was halved and match over. (I may be mis-remembering this and we could have been AS and that was for the 1up win). (Bill)

Me and Bill Poch won 1 up over Nichols and Nick. Went off the back. Bill and I played well together, only were in bad spots a couple times. Nichols was struggling the first half of the round but came around after the turn. Nichols made a big putt on 6 to keep them up 1. I made a big putt on 7 to win the hole. We were all square going into 9 and we were stroking. I put a 40 footer to 6 inches for a tap in par net birdie to win the match. My favorite round of the weekend. (Duce)

Scramble- Saturday PM on Parkland

James/Trevor win 3&2 over Campbell/Paul
This was a fun match, my first time playing with Trevor, and it did not disappoint. On the front 9, we fended off excellent play from Campbell and Paul with multiple 15 foot must-make putts from Trevor. Paul showed up for the par 3s but not much else... Campbell held on as long as he could. I rolled in a long-ish birdie for us on the 14th hole and then holed out from 40 yards for eagle on the next hole to essentially put the nail in the coffin before the darkness set in. (James)

The bois were buzzing literally going into this match. After coming off a loss on 18 what’s better then drowning your “sorrow” with some cold ones at lunch. I knew I was doomed from the start when my pepperoni pizza for $1 fell apart out of the oven and they had to remake me one. What a group James,Trevor, Campbell and yours truly. First 3 holes started out great then the 8 beers me and cbell rifled thru hit and I was nothing but a riding partner for Campbell. Every shot of mine was way left or just the opposite direction of where it was supposed to go. Campbell played great as always but he can’t do it alone. Trevor found out what a Larry was and he is definitely one of them. James chipped in about 40 yard away that no one saw besides Campbell cuz me and Trevor were off in no mans land looking for my ball. After that we were 4 down with 5 to play and fighting daylight and a longer wait than getting on and off the cape. We won the next hole and was 3 down 4 to play. Next was a par 3 almost in the dark and I went water so at this point I took us out and left it all up to my partner…..again. (Paul)

Ken/Nick win 1up over Oga/Jamie
Match of the day. Both teams played well and really didn’t give the other any room for error - we won 4 holes total, they won 3 and we pushed the 11 others. Lots of tense putts throughout for both teams to keep pace with the other, nick and I were up 1 at the turn and then 3-putted the 10th (1st on Parkland) to let them tie it up. Nick and I put ourselves in trouble a few times, but were able to continue to scrap out halves on the holes with a few long clutch putts from Nick (after getting phenomenal reads on my first putts). We were all square until 14 (the par 3 5th) where our best option off the tee was dropping from my ball in the water and we went down 1 with 4 to play. At this point a few groups had finished and joined up with us to watch.
15 - I demolish a drive down the left side and Nick doesn’t bother hitting. Oga makes a beautiful second shot over a tree to the green to save them on a hole that I thought we for sure had won - push with pars.
16 - Nick elects to hit this time even though I hit another beauty and proceeds to roll one past the group in front of us about 310yds away. After standing around looking at a 75 yard approach from the fairway for about 20mins (thanks Craig, Ryan, Cam and Justin), I chunk one, nick thins it long and Oga/Jamie get on in 2 from the bunker. I luckily settle our next one close to halves again.
17 - good drives by both teams - Nick and I both hit the green side bunker in 2 and need to scramble. Barely on the front of the green, I show Nick the line and he rolls a 100 footer to inches for the gimme par. Oga and Jamie leave themselves outside the friend zone and wind up 3 putting to get us AS going to 18. Nick runs around like he’s riding a hobby horse and Oga calls him a douchebag for celebrating a missed putt. The tension mounts.
18 - driving to the 9th at parkland I said to Nick “it all comes down the 9th hole in the dark, which luckily we’ve played 3 times already this weekend” (albeit with 7 irons).
Nick drives the greenside bunker, and makes a nice shot out of the sand to leave us an 8(?) footer.
Oga and Jamie also get on in 2 but have a trickier putt.
Now in complete darkness, we have the 4 other guys still with us holding up flashlights on the green to see our putts. Jamie leaves it one half-roll away from dropping and they take the par.
Before our putt Nick tells me he loves me (very nice moment) I proceed to burn an edge but it shows us it’s dead straight, Nick steps up and drains it. We celebrate hard, Oga doesn’t call us douche bags this time. Nick gets his first win of the weekend and we get our first ever Myrtle win as a pairing (we do not make out after - I want to make that very clear). (Ken)

Bill/Johnny win 2&1 over Cole/Steve
Bill was on one. Basically perfect and needed like 10 shots from me and my yapping and it was enough to overcome Cole sinking basically everything on the back 9. We obviously had the controversy of the weekend when Steve big timed Paul and threw his ball in the woods and Paul cowered like a puppy. (Johnny)

Bill dominated the scramble with 3 natural birdies, but I kept hitting putts to keep us close the entire time. Johnnie is the one who hit the tee shot that closed us out on 17 in the dark and was the only ball that could be found. We lost 2&1 (Cole)

Duce/Jeremy won 1 up against Marty/Dan
Losers had to buy the winners hats. Me and Ed didn’t take advantage of our stroke holes until the final hole to win it. Dan and Marty up 2 with 3 to go and we won final 3 holes. Marty and Dan choke job complete. (Jeremy)

Dante/Abe win 3&2 over Jared/Crooky
We won the first hole and never looked back. Half way through the round Abe drained back to back 40-50 ft birdie putts that opened it up to a 3U lead. Crooky had an exploding ball. He marked it with a blue "L" and had Han tee it for Abe on the 9th hole when Abe was semi blacked out. Abe smoked it and after it exploded said fuck that was the best swing all day. We all died laughing. Han put legend in timeout twice for excessive drinking. The third time Abe was placed on probation.  (Dante)

Beck/Dennis win 3&2 over Sean/Dotts
I’d like a rematch of this group, I played really well. If Dotts could keep his eyes open I think we keep it close, dennis and Beck complement each other very well. Beck has a silky smooth swing. Forgot how much we lost this round by (Sean)

Nichols/Bahr win 6&5 over Peter/Duce
Pete and I lost 6&5 to Nichols and Dan Bahr. Pete and I played poorly. Bill and Dan didn't give us any chances as they didn't miss a fairway all round. Pete and I lost the first 3 holes and only won 1 hole the whole match. Stopped playing after the match was over and rode in with Ken/Nick vs Oga/Jamie match. Watched their last 4 holes. (Duce)

Jimmy/Marc 1up over Weibs/Fliesser
A legendary match that ended in the dark with flashlights

Sunday Singles on Heathland

Poch AS Ken
Bill got out to an early lead in our match but I manage to get back to down 1 at the turn. He wins 10, and then I drive the green and make an easy 2-putt birdie on Heathland’s second to again get to -1. After a 30 minute wait at the next tee box I top my 7-wood but manage to scrap back for a bogey to push.
With the match AS going into 15, bill and I both put our drives out of play and I end up winning the hole with a double bogey 6 to go 1 up.
16 - we both get on the par 5 7th in 3, I have a straight 15-20 footer for my birdie and bill is way down the front on the lower tier looking at a 60(?) foot up hill circus putt. He drains it center cup. I walk in my birdie putt to halve the hole and I think I yelled “EAT A FUCKING DICK” as it went in. Sorry, Bill.
17 - Bad Bill rears his head - he puts his tee ball on the par 3 in the fescue on top of the hill and I get mine on the front of the green. Make my par and I close him out - unfortunately I 3 putt it and bill makes a decent bogey to stay alive.
18 - bad bill again tries to hand me the match by finding the fescue. I fail to get up and down for par and Bill makes bogey/net par to halve the match. Bill asked to kiss after, but I turned him down. (Ken)

We both played well. Front was a tight match but I was about 2up through 9. Around hole 12 Ken made a run and got the match to 1up in his favor. The beverage cart finally showed up around hole 15 and helped put the wind back in my sails. The last 3 holes were extremely tense and I was getting my final stroke hole on 18 but had to grind to get it there. Hole #7 (our 16) I hit a 50-60ft putt from the bottom tier of the green for birdie with Ken laying 15-20ft away for his own birdie which he ended up sinking keeping the match at 1u in favor of Ken. Ken hit his ball onto the green on the par 3 #8 (our 17) and I pulled mine a bit left and with the strong headwind it ended up on the hill in front of the green in deep rough. I hit a great recovery from there and 2 putted for a 4. Ken 3 putt from the green to keep the match 1u for him. With Bill stroking on the last, Ken hit a great drive on #9 (our 18) and I hit a drive right onto another hill and onto tight dirt for another scramble shot. I put that shot next to the green for a chip and Ken hit his short left. A chip and a putt and I was in for 5/4. Ken’s chip from short of the green came up short, and he missed the long par putt for the match to go to AS. (Bill P)

Kurt 5&4 over Dotts
(Match to determine who has to quit their company)
Kurt is the strongest man I know and he proceeds to pummel some drives and really intimidates the shit out of Dotts. I felt slightly bad halfway through because I kind of made the call that our group should play the blues and Dotts just didn’t have the distance to keep up with Kurt from there. Honestly wouldn’t have made a difference in the long run because Kurt played great in all aspects and put him down 5&4. (Ken)

Alec 6&5 over Cole
Alec waxed me on Sunday shooting a gross 42 on the front while I was giving him 4 on the front and 4 on the back. Had the round of his life, while I had the worst round since Friday of last year. (Cole

Jeremy AS Steve
He led for most of the match but I kept it close and won final hole to square the match. Hill hit a drive OB, on his dropped shot, hit the ball right into trees, flew back at him, tried to catch it and hit him in the chest. (Jeremy)

Waitz 6&5 over Paul  +  Marc 7&5 over Beck
Let’s just say me and Beck got dogg walked by a few Doggs!! Our match’s 7&5 beck taking the L and mine was 6&5 taking the L as well!! If you asked me it sounded like a score of a dogg game which usually ends with an L. Anyway Jimmy and Marc played great while Marc shooting a career low of 84. I stayed close to Jimmy with never taking a lead and was only 2 down after 9. Then proceeded to lose all the holes after that I think. Beck had no issue getting to the green but just came up short a few holes or maybe it was came up long then short. There was a time where Beck was 7 down 7 to go and I said dig deep and fight back but he didn’t have the dogg in him! (Paul)

#DeadBeck☠️☠️☠️, Marc played very well and I had nothing in the tank to give him a match, was out/ball in pocket buncha holes (Beck)

Dante 2&1 over Jared
I won the first two holes and then Jared won the next 3. We made the turn AS. Jared and I played good not great. The biggest difference was I made par/net birdie on my 5 stoke holes. On Those holes Jared just had too long of birdie putts and didn't make a single one. It was nice to be the player getting stokes for once instead of giving them up. We played a $100 close out so it was also nice to make some money. In addition, Jared and I had a front row seat to Danny "darts" Richards making birdie on 2 out of the first 3 holes. (Dante)

Fliesser 3&2 over Sean
first 2 shots on the first went OB. Immediately conceded the hole. Thought I should’ve been getting strokes but turned out to be pretty even match, fleiss was a bit more consistent than me. Back and forth all day, nobody went up more than 1 hole until 15 when he went up 2. Then proceeded to wait 15 min for the group in front of us to get off the green. Lost on 16 Think final was 3&2 loss (Sean)

Duce 3&2 over Hill
Went off the back. Neither of us played great, but we both had some moments. Hill was extremely hungover the first half of the round. I chipped in from 30 yds for birdie on 12 to go up 2 early. Hill went in the water on 16. Dropped, hit his shot off a tree, off the cart bridge and off himself for possibly the funniest moment of the weekend. Hill lost a ball in the rough on 7 that shouldn't have been lost and I won the hole to go up 1 with 2 to go. He seemed to mentally check out after that and I closed him out on 8. (Duce)

Dan 3&2 over James
Dan was so good off the tee in our match, but on the front he was less than perfect approaching the green which allowed me to stay in and even take the lead a couple different times. I made a birdie on the 2nd hole, a 220 yard shot to about 6 inches, a near ace with the group behind us watching on the tee box. I had a handful of great shots- Texas wedge's, some putts. But I also took myself out of a few holes with bad tee balls or pathetic chipping. We hit a wall of traffic toward the end of the match... We were AS through 13 but I ended up losing Holes 14-15-16 during the 90 minutes it took to play them. Credit to Dan to remained unphased by the pace, and deserved to win the match. (James)

Dennis 3&2 over Johnny
Dennis was in control of the whole match. The difference between these two golfers today was Dennis pumping perfect drives out there and Johnny spraying them to the edge of every hole. We found most of them, but Johnny was just putting himself in the worst spots. He had a couple incredible recoveries but in general, was fighting an uphill battle on every hole and eventually ran out of holes. (James)

Abe 5&4 over Coates
Singles was a battle back and forth for a while between Coates and I. I absolutely turned it on on the back. Especially with my Double Bogey net Bogey on 10 to win the hole. After 10 though, the driver felt hot and I closed him out on 14 with a chip in birdie from 25 yards out and below the hole with the green at eye level.

Other notes:

Harbour Town Recap- the trip started off with an amazing round on the course that hosts the Heritage classic which is the week after the masters. Marty/me won 6&4 over Bill/Ogga. The signature #18 hole with lighthouse from whites was 415 but played closer to 5550 yards + in to the wind. Bill, Marty, ogga almost murdered the gallery along the fairway with their second shots. Fun day all along and luckily we got paired up with two amazing caddies. Ogga forgot to pay his and the caddy had to chase him down in the proshop and request payment in front of 10-15 people. Humiliating for him but funny to us watching (Dante)
